_Choose an AI agent build partner by how it bills, whether its agents act alone, what it logs and whether you can take the system with you._

## The short answer

[TecAdRise](/tecadrise) is the low-cost start at €150 per setup (about $168), and its agents run on their own schedule. [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc), at $10,000 per project, builds in single sign-on, standard audit logging and deployment on your own servers.

[Arsum](/arsum), at $5,000 per engagement, and [Precision AI OS](/precision-ai-os) are the 2 of the 7 that make getting out a defined step, while [Agentix Labs](/agentix-labs) puts a human approver on every consequential action.

We checked the published prices of 5 of these 8 agents and answered 32 questions about what they do, each on the vendor's own pages, between 2 September 2026 and 18 October 2026.

- TecAdRise has the lowest one-time fee, at €150 per setup (about $168), against $10,000 per project at ZTABS.
- Bitsclan IT Solutions, TecAdRise and ZTABS are the 3 of the 8 that build agents to run on their own.
- Agentix Labs, Octacer, Precision AI OS and ZTABS build audit logging in as standard, 4 of the 7.
- Arsum and Precision AI OS are the 2 of the 7 that make leaving a defined step: Arsum hands over code and account ownership, and Precision AI OS runs an export window before deletion.
- None of the 8 agencies has a confirmed free plan.

## What does a build cost, and is it a one-time fee or a retainer?

A build is usually a one-time fee with running costs on top, and Arsum, TecAdRise and ZTABS are the 3 of the 7 that spell out how they meter it. [SafeNet Creations](/safenet-creations) is the exception, on a retainer of CA$149 a month (about $106).

TecAdRise charges €150 per setup (about $168), billed once, and passes voice API and phone line usage through. [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution) charges $1,500 per engagement, billed once. Arsum charges $5,000 per engagement, billed once, and estimates model, hosting and support spend on top. ZTABS quotes $10,000 per project, billed once, and bills staff augmentation by the developer-hour. SafeNet Creations adds a one-off setup fee plus model usage, hosting and Meta message charges to its retainer. Agentix Labs is sales-led, with no self-serve product.

## Will the agents act on their own, or stop for a person?

Most stop for a person: Bitsclan IT Solutions, TecAdRise and ZTABS are the 3 of the 8 whose agents run on their own.

ZTABS agents complete multi-step workflows end to end and escalate only edge cases. TecAdRise agents run on their own schedule after a supervised pilot. Bitsclan IT Solutions treats completing a task without a human as what separates an agent from a chatbot. [Octacer](/octacer) agents act on events inside confidence thresholds and escalate when confidence drops or the case is novel. Agentix Labs bounds unattended runs with stop conditions and action budgets and requires human approval for consequential actions. Precision AI OS queues anything client-facing or uncertain for a named reviewer, SafeNet Creations ends each receptionist flow with a handoff to staff, and Arsum has a named person approve every release.

## Is every agent action logged so it can be audited?

At Agentix Labs, Octacer, Precision AI OS and ZTABS, yes: they are the 4 of the 7 that build audit logging in as standard. Arsum, Bitsclan IT Solutions and TecAdRise log less.

Agentix Labs logs every tool call with its prompt, context, output and approver, alongside rollback steps. Octacer logs every automated decision with its reasoning and confidence. Precision AI OS writes approvals and model calls to records nobody can edit or delete during retention, with job, model and cost on each model call. ZTABS ships audit logging with encryption and role-based access control. Arsum specifies audit records during an integration's exception planning, so they go in the scope. Bitsclan IT Solutions logs inside the integrations it wires, with no vendor console to inspect. TecAdRise delivers structured logs, alerting and a dashboard of call transcripts and audio, with no trail of who changed what.

## Which models can it run, and can it run on your own servers?

GPT is widely covered, at 5 of the 7. For open-weight models on your own hardware, the choice narrows to Bitsclan IT Solutions, Octacer and ZTABS.

Octacer treats model independence as an architectural principle and offers open-weight Llama for privacy-sensitive work on the client's own hardware. ZTABS picks models against your accuracy, latency and cost limits, including multi-model routing, runs Llama, Mistral and Phi through Ollama on client infrastructure, and deploys on-premise or in your virtual private cloud. Bitsclan IT Solutions has shipped locally hosted open-weight models through Ollama, keeps inference on customer-owned hardware, and builds on the APIs and models you already run. Agentix Labs names only hosted proprietary models, and Precision AI OS runs only in its own Google Cloud estate.

## Can you take the system with you when the engagement ends?

At Arsum and Precision AI OS, yes by design: they are the 2 of the 7 that make exit a defined step.

Arsum settles code and account ownership, documentation, rollback and the support boundary at handover. Precision AI OS sets exit in the contract, with an export window before a reviewed deletion and the client's encryption keys destroyed once backups expire; its platform stays on Google Cloud in the United States, with daily backups for 30 days. Agentix Labs uses private data to train public models only with your explicit consent, Precision AI OS enforces no-training in code on every model call, and SafeNet Creations says client business data is not sent to train third-party public models.

## The agents that stand out

### [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution)

**Best for agents running on your own model keys:** Bitsclan builds agents on the models, APIs and platforms a client already runs, and its self-hosted case study keeps inference on customer-owned infrastructure.

- **Price:** $1,500 per engagement
- **Free plan:** no
- **Who it's for:** Teams that want an agent built into their existing CRM or helpdesk on model accounts they already hold, with a published entry price of $1,500 per engagement.
- **Skip it if:** Buyers who need an audit trail they can inspect themselves should pick ZTABS or Precision AI OS, which build audit logging as standard.

Bitsclan IT Solutions builds and operates custom AI agents inside a client's CRM, helpdesk, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and phone channels. It names both OpenAI and Anthropic models as foundations for its builds. Its agents complete tasks without a human closing the loop.

An engagement costs $1,500 per engagement, billed one-time, and there is no free plan. Only its three fixed-price automation packages carry a published figure, and time-and-materials rates are not published. Code and intellectual property transfer to the buyer at completion.

Beside ZTABS, Bitsclan states outright that it builds on the client's own models, while ZTABS does not say whether clients supply their own API keys. Its logging is part of the delivered system, not a console the buyer inspects.

**What it does well**

- Builds on the models, APIs and platforms you already run, with inference kept on customer-owned infrastructure in its self-hosted case study.
- Names both OpenAI and Anthropic models behind its chatbots.
- Code and intellectual property transfer to the buyer at completion.
- Deploys to production through a published continuous integration and delivery process, with post-launch tuning.

**Where it falls short**

- Bitsclan does not say whether trained models, prompts or agent configuration are handed over on cancellation.
- Its security claims (ISO 27001 and SOC 2) come with no published certificate or audit report.
- Rates for engineer time are not published, so anything beyond the fixed-price packages is quoted.

### [Precision AI OS](/precision-ai-os)

**Best for service firms that need data residency:** Precision AI OS keeps every client platform in one published place, Google Cloud in the United States, with daily backups held for 30 days.

- **Free plan:** no
- **Who it's for:** Service firms with no technical staff that want a hosted, reviewed agent setup with data kept in the United States.
- **Skip it if:** Firms that must keep data outside the United States or on their own servers should pick another partner, since Precision offers no region choice and no self-hosting.

Precision AI OS scopes, builds, hosts and operates data pipelines, a private firm operating system and task agents for service firms, and says clients need no technical staff of their own. Its agents split work into gather, prepare and check roles with shared permissions and review points. Anything client-facing or uncertain stops for a named reviewer, so no task completes without a person.

The platform runs only in Precision's own Google Cloud estate in the United States, with daily backups for 30 days and seven-day point-in-time recovery. Approvals and model calls go to records nobody can edit or delete during retention, and each model call records job, model and cost. On exit, an export window precedes deletion and the firm's encryption keys are destroyed once backups expire.

There is no free plan and no self-serve start, since scope is set on a discovery call. Bitsclan and ZTABS deploy into the client's own infrastructure, while Precision keeps hosting and operations on its side.

**What it does well**

- Data stays in one published jurisdiction, Google Cloud in the United States, with daily backups for 30 days.
- Approvals and model calls are logged, and each model call records its job, model and cost.
- Leaving is set in the contract: an export window precedes deletion and encryption keys are destroyed once backups expire.
- Anthropic's Claude models are approved for client platform work, under zero-data-retention terms.

**Where it falls short**

- No self-hosting or customer-tenant deployment is offered.
- There is no region choice outside the United States.
- Controls are mapped to security audit criteria (SOC 1 and SOC 2), but Precision states no audit has been completed.

### [TecAdRise](/tecadrise)

**Best for small businesses wanting a low-cost first build:** TecAdRise puts a first agent in production for €150 per setup (about $168), paid one-time.

- **Price:** €150 per setup (about $168)
- **Who it's for:** Small businesses that want a voice receptionist, a workflow automation or a scheduled agent built, deployed and monitored for them.
- **Skip it if:** Teams that need to choose the model or own the API keys behind a deployment should skip it, since TecAdRise does not say which model runs delivered agents or who holds the keys.

TecAdRise is a Polish agency that builds voice receptionists, workflow automations and Agent-OS agents for small businesses.

The entry fee is €150 per setup (about $168), paid one-time, and voice API and phone line usage are billed on top. That sits well under Bitsclan at $1,500 per engagement and ZTABS at $10,000 per project.

**What it does well**

- A setup fee of €150 per setup (about $168), paid once, keeps the first build small.
- Agents run on a schedule with nobody starting them, delivering results by email or connector.
- Deploys to your infrastructure or a virtual private server and keeps monitoring after go-live.
- Repairs broken integration nodes in the automations it built after upstream API changes.

**Where it falls short**

- Voice API and phone line usage are billed on top of the setup fee.
- Logs cover runs, call transcripts and audio, with no audit trail of who changed what.
- Fees are non-refundable, and TecAdRise describes no export of agent memory or workflow definitions.

### [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc)

**Best for enterprise builds behind single sign-on:** ZTABS wires single sign-on (SSO) and automated user provisioning into its enterprise builds from day one.

- **Price:** $10,000 per project
- **Who it's for:** Engineering leads shipping an agent to a large staff who need SSO, audit logs and pull-request gates delivered as part of the build.
- **Skip it if:** Small teams with a modest first project should skip it, since entry is $10,000 per project against TecAdRise at €150 per setup (about $168).

ZTABS is a Houston software agency building custom AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and full-stack products. Its agents complete multi-step workflows end to end, escalating to a human only for edge cases. It builds on OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google models, and deployments can run in your own cloud or on-premise.

Audit logging is standard in its builds, beside encryption and role-based access control. Its engineers wire automated test suites into GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or CircleCI so every pull request is gated.

A project costs $10,000 per project, billed one-time, and builds are quoted as fixed ranges after scoping. Staff augmentation is quoted hourly by seniority and scales from one to twenty-plus developers month to month.

**What it does well**

- Audit logging ships as standard, beside encryption and role-based access control.
- Test suites in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or CircleCI gate every pull request.
- Deployments can run in your own cloud or on-premise.
- Builds on OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google models.

**Where it falls short**

- Entry costs $10,000 per project, the largest first outlay beside Bitsclan and TecAdRise.
- ZTABS publishes no security certification of its own; its compliance work (SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR controls) is built into client systems.
- ZTABS does not say whether clients supply their own API keys.

## Which one to pick

- **If you need a first automation on a small setup budget:** pick [TecAdRise](/tecadrise). TecAdRise charges €150 per setup (about $168), billed once, with voice API and phone line usage passed through on top.
- **If you need a scoped build at a published price with a clean handover:** pick [Arsum](/arsum). Arsum quotes $5,000 per engagement with model, hosting and support spend estimated on top, and settles code and account ownership, documentation and rollback at handover.
- **If your agents must run on your own servers with open models:** pick [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution). Bitsclan IT Solutions has shipped locally hosted open-weight models through Ollama on customer-owned hardware, built on the APIs and models you already run.
- **If you need a large organization's users signing in through single sign-on:** pick [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc). ZTABS wires single sign-on and user provisioning into enterprise builds from day one, keeps audit logging standard and takes on repository-wide migrations of legacy systems.
- **If your client data must stay in one region:** pick [Precision AI OS](/precision-ai-os). Precision AI OS keeps the client platform in one jurisdiction, on Google Cloud in the United States, writes approvals and model calls to records no administrator can edit, and sets a contractual export window before deletion.
- **If every consequential agent action needs a human approver on record:** pick [Agentix Labs](/agentix-labs). Agentix Labs requires human approval for consequential actions, logs every tool call with its approver, and builds scoped tool access, action budgets and stop conditions in as executable controls.

## How we compared

We compared 8 agents on price, free plan and 3 questions a buyer asks, reading each vendor's pricing page and product pages between 2 September 2026 and 18 October 2026. We did not sign up for or run any of them.

## Questions buyers ask

### How much does it cost to have an agency build an AI agent?

One-time builds run from €150 per setup (about $168) at [TecAdRise](/tecadrise) to $10,000 per project at [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc). [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution) quotes $1,500 per engagement and [Arsum](/arsum) $5,000 per engagement. [SafeNet Creations](/safenet-creations) bills by the month instead, at CA$149 a month (about $106).

### Do any AI agent agencies offer a free plan?

No: none of the 8 has a confirmed free plan. Every agency starts with a paid build or a paid retainer.

### Which agencies charge a monthly retainer instead of a one-time fee?

[SafeNet Creations](/safenet-creations) charges a retainer of CA$149 a month (about $106), with a separate one-off setup fee and model usage, hosting and Meta message charges quoted on top. [Arsum](/arsum), [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution), [TecAdRise](/tecadrise) and [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc) bill each build as a one-time fee.

### Will the agents act without a person approving each step?

Yes at [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution), [TecAdRise](/tecadrise) and [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc), the 3 of the 8 that build agents to run on their own. Bitsclan IT Solutions treats finishing a task without a human as what separates its agents from a chatbot. TecAdRise has the client approve outcomes rather than each step, and ZTABS keeps human escalation for edge cases. [Arsum](/arsum) works the other way, with a named person approving every release.

### Can I keep the system and leave the agency later?

Yes at [Arsum](/arsum) and [Precision AI OS](/precision-ai-os), the 2 of the 7 that make exit a defined step. Arsum settles code ownership, documentation, rollback and the support boundary at handover. Precision AI OS writes exit into the contract, with an export window before a reviewed deletion.

### Will the agency's agents work with both Claude and GPT models?

Mostly yes: 5 of the 7 work with GPT models. [Agentix Labs](/agentix-labs) names Claude most often and has a partner page on Claude agent architecture, and [Bitsclan IT Solutions](/bitsclan-it-soulution) names Anthropic models among the providers behind its chatbots. [Octacer](/octacer) and [ZTABS](/ztabs-llc) avoid tying a build to one model vendor.

### Will my data be used to train AI models?

Not at [Agentix Labs](/agentix-labs), [Precision AI OS](/precision-ai-os) or [SafeNet Creations](/safenet-creations). Agentix Labs uses private data to train public AI models only if you explicitly agree. Precision AI OS enforces no-training in code on every model call and trains no models of its own on client data. SafeNet Creations says client business data is not sent to train third-party public models.
