Using the site

The Agents Index is a directory of agents, free to browse for people and their agents. You may use our llms.txt, the markdown version of every page and our MCP and JSON endpoints. Don't disrupt, attack or probe the service, get around rate limits, or pass off our index as your own. We may block traffic that abuses the service.

Accounts

Submitting an agent or buying a placement creates an account tied to your email. Keep that inbox secure and your details accurate; we verify account actions such as claims and upgrades through it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Submissions and claims

Submit only agents you are authorised to represent, with accurate information. You let us use what you send in our research and publish the result. Submitting does not guarantee a listing, and we check everything you send before it appears on the site.

Paid placements

Billing. Featured, advertising slots and digest sponsorships renew monthly until you cancel. Rates for new advertisers depend on demand; your rate stays the same while your subscription is active. Cancel from your dashboard to stop future charges. The placement runs to the end of the paid period, then stops, and your free listing stays. Boost, lead credits and commissioned briefs are one-time purchases. Anything bought under an earlier offer keeps the terms it was bought under.

Featured. Your listing appears in the block labelled Advertisement at the top of its category page, and in the Featured band on the home page. Featured listings in a category share that block in no fixed order. The home page band shows 4 at a time and rotates daily when there are more. We don't guarantee an exclusive spot, views or clicks. The Advertisement label is always shown on the placement and can't be removed or moved.

Featured includes Boost. You also get a do-follow link to your site and one article about your product, published within 24 hours of the first payment. If you cancel Featured, the top spots end with the paid month; the link and the article stay while the listing is published. If a payment is refunded or disputed, or the listing is taken down, it becomes a free listing with a nofollow link.

What a placement does not change. Whether a listing is accepted, what it says, or anything about a competitor's listing. See how we rank.

Display ads. Display ads run in fixed slots on the home page, category pages, search and best-of pages. They sit outside the list of agents and carry the Advertisement label.

Links. Paid listings link with do-follow. Free listings use nofollow, and do-follow while the owner shows our badge. Display ads, digest sponsorships and funding credits also link with do-follow. We don't guarantee search rankings or traffic.

Boost. When you submit, we check that your product fits this directory before you choose how it goes live. The free option goes live once we have researched and built the listing. Boost is a one-time payment of $29: your listing goes first in the queue and live within 24 hours, with a do-follow link and an article about your product. If you paid for Boost and we then don't accept the submission, we refund Boost in full, automatically.

Boost for a published listing. The owner of a published listing can buy Boost once for $29. The link becomes do-follow within minutes of payment and the article follows within 24 hours. There is no refund for rejection, because the listing was already accepted.

The Boost link. The link from your listing to your site stays do-follow while the listing is published, with a note beside it saying you paid for it. If your website address changes, we move the link after checking the new address.

The Boost article. With Boost or Featured, we research and write one article about your product, published within 24 hours after the listing goes live. It covers what the product does, its pricing, who it suits, who should look elsewhere, alternatives from our index (not ranked) and common questions. We write it from our research and your public pages; you don't supply or review the text. It is labelled Sponsored, names you as the payer and links to your site with do-follow.

Website link subscriptions. We no longer sell new annual Website links. Existing subscriptions ($99 a year) keep their do-follow link, renew until cancelled, and keep their price, paid-through term and refund terms.

If your site goes away. If a paid link's destination stops working or redirects somewhere we haven't checked, we pause the link and tell you why. A Website link subscription is then refunded pro rata for the unused term.

Commissioned briefs

You can pay us to research and write a brief on a buyer question you name. We choose the method and sources and write every word. You get a named funding credit on the page, which can include one sentence of yours. You don't see the brief before it is published, your name is not in the title, you have no say in the findings, and it never ranks a set of agents you are in. If the research can't support a brief, we refund you.

Affiliate links and paid extras

Some links to an agent earn us a commission if a reader signs up. We choose them after the listing is written, mark them on the page and use nofollow. A listing with a paid do-follow link always links straight to its own site. Vendors can't buy affiliate links or remove a competitor's, and affiliate links don't change the order of the free list.

Paid placement adds the Advertisement position and expanded analytics where available. Paid listings that are due for a re-check are re-checked first, after listings we have never checked. Lead credits deliver qualified leads as described at checkout. None of these changes the free list's order, what a listing says, or a competitor's listing.

Ad content

Advertising is open to any brand except crypto or token promotions, gambling or betting, adult content, weapons, and anything illegal or deceptive. We may refuse or cancel a placement that breaks this rule, and a placement cancelled for a breach is not refunded. See pricing for what each placement includes.

Refunds

Placements start when payment settles. If something goes wrong, email support@theagentsindex.com. If we fail to deliver something you paid for, we refund it. The Boost, brief and link refunds above also apply.

We don't refund a change of mind. Recurring services run to the end of the paid period and stop renewing once cancelled. Lead credits don't expire. This doesn't limit your mandatory consumer rights.

Accuracy and third-party sites

Listings link to their sources and are re-checked on a schedule, but agents change often. Check pricing and features with the vendor before you rely on them. Sites we link to belong to their owners, and their content, terms and privacy practices are their own. Spotted a mistake? Tell us.

What we are not liable for

The Agents Index is provided as-is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses: lost profits, lost data, decisions made on listed facts, downtime, or what third-party sites do. Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose (zero if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your mandatory consumer rights.

Ending things

You can stop using the site at any time. Email support@theagentsindex.com to have your account deleted. We may suspend or end accounts and placements that break these terms. If we end a paid placement when you haven't broken them, we refund the unused time.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. The Agents Index is run from the Netherlands. Consumers keep any protections their local law makes mandatory. We may update these terms and the date above shows the current version. A change never shortens a placement you have already paid for.
