Method
- The answers. Once a month we ask Perplexity and ChatGPT the same questions about AI agents, 35 of them this month, and keep each answer with the sources it lists. This edition counts the 135 answers collected from 15 October 2026 to 23 October 2026.
- A citation. A site counts once in an answer that lists at least one of its pages, however many it lists. A site is its main domain: en.wikipedia.org counts as wikipedia.org.
- Shares. Every share is of the 135 answers that listed any source.
- Kinds of site. A product site is the website of a product listed here. Review sites, forums, video, encyclopedias and social media are named by their domain. Everything else counts as another site.
- Our own site. theagentsindex.com is counted like any other site, and the page says where it stands.
